Tahi Global Community
Who We Are: Tahi Global Community is a non profit organization dedicated to empowering people in need, developing countries and indigenous cultures by providing essential resources such as food, water, and sustainable solutions, fostering a brighter and more resilient future for all.
The Founder: Karina J. Duffy
Tahi Global Community Foundation was founded by Karina Duffy, a passionate documentary filmmaker who, during her travels around the world, discovered a compelling need to support indigenous cultures and developing countries by providing essential resources and assistance. Driven by her commitment to making a positive impact, Karina established the foundation to address these pressing global challenges and create a brighter future for marginalized communities.
Current Fundraiser Project: To provide a 2nd well for the Himba people of Namibia. The 2nd well will be 50 miles from the first well. In total these wells will provide around 500 + people and 1,500 livestock access to clean water.
Update: Crew leaves at the end of July, 2025 to install the 1st well. If funding was received the crew can install two wells while they are visiting Namibia at the time.
Filming:
A documentary will be created filming this water project and the stories of the villages, a follow-up to the first documentary Tahi: The Human Journey. Through powerful visuals and personal narratives, it will highlight resilience, connection, and the impact of community-led transformation.
Location and area information: Located in the North-West of Namibia close to the town of Opowo, the Kaokoland border between Namibia and Angola, South Africa.
